Women among 10 of a family gunned down in Khost

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead 10 members of a family, including three women, in the Alisher district of southeastern Khost province, an official said on Wednesday.

Alisher district administrative chief Farid Wahaj told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Abu Khani area on Tuesday night.

He said unknown gunmen opened fire on a house, resulting in the killing of 10 people, including three women.

He added security forces rushed to the scene to investigate the grisly incident. Further details would be released later on, the official concluded.
