2 convicts lashed, jailed for adultery in Kapisa

MAHMOODRAQI (Pajhwok): Two convicts were punished in public in central Kapisa province, the Supreme Court (SC) said in a press statement on Thursday.

Based on the ruling of the Hisa-i-Awal district primary court, a man and a woman were punished for adultery today, the press statement said.

After the SC upheld the primary court’s decision, each convict was sentenced to six months imprisonment and 39 lashes.
