2 Pakistani soldiers killed in North Waziristan clash

KABUL (Pajhwok): Two Pakistani soldiers have been killed and a third injured during a clash with militants in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to reports, the Pakistani forces were conducting a clearance operation in ‘Khadi Eidak Madzani’ area last night when the clash took place.

Two soldiers, including a major, were killed and another was injured in the clash that left four militants dead.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s state-run television (PTV News) also wrote on its Facebook page that two soldiers named Major Hamza Isra and Muhammad Naeem were killed in a clash with militants last night.

No militant group has claimed responsibility for the clash so far.

On January 6, two policemen were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
