JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A woman gave birth to quadruplets—two girls and two boys—at the Jalalabad Zonal Hospital in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Thursday.
Naqibullah Rahimi, a spokesman for the Public Health Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the mother delivered the four babies at once on Wednesday evening.
He confirmed that all the babies, two girls and two boys are in good health and are currently under intensive care in the hospital's pediatric department.
Dr. Ghazi Gul, a doctor at the hospital, said that the children are in stable condition with no health concerns at the moment.
The children’s family, originally from the Sherzad district of Nangarhar, views this as a great blessing from Allah (SWT) and has called on the government to support them in raising the children.
