Unified union urged amid improved pine nuts business   

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Nooruddin Azizi has stressed unity among the pine nuts businessmen and called for the formation of a unified union, a statement said on Saturday.

Azizi, during a meeting with members of the pine nuts production and export sector in the country to support them, improve the management of the sector, and eliminate unhealthy competition among members, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in a statement.

During this meeting, emphasis was placed on the establishment of pine nuts processing factories and discussions were held on the export of this product, support for members of the sector, and the establishment of a pine nut market in the country.

After listening to the members of this sector, Azizi assured them of his full support and said that the unhealthy competition among the traders of this sector should end as soon as possible and all traders should gather in a single union.

It is worth noting that Afghan pine nuts are currently exported to China, India, and some European countries.
