5 of a family injured in wolf attack in Paktia’s Dandipatan

GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Five members of a family have been bitten by a wolf in Dandipatan district of southeastern Paktia province, an official said on Wednesday.

Muneeb Zadran, police spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News, the incident took place in Hasan Khel village; where a wolf descending from the mountains in search of food attacked five members of a family.

The victims included three women and two men, Zadran said.

The injured were evacuated to district hospital by policemen, with two of them in serious condition.

The wolf was also killed by other members of the victims.

Before this during the past year, about nine other people had been injured in similar incidents in Dandipatan and Zazi Aryub districts of the province.
