KABUL (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrested four members of a robbery gang in Kabul, who had been targeting residents’ homes while disguised in “Mujahideen” (security personnel) uniforms.
According to a statement from Kabul police on X, the arrests took place in 13th police district. The individuals were caught after a police chase, during which they were found with weapons and admitted to their involvement in the crimes.
Police chief of the 13th police district Maulvi Shamsullah Hamad, in a video clip confirmed that initial investigations have been completed and the suspects have been handed over to the Kabul Criminal Investigation Department for further interrogation and prosecution.
Four other members of the group managed to escape, and efforts are underway to capture them, Hamad added.
