Burned body found in Kandahar’s Panjwae district

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Burned body of an elderly man recovered on Thursday in the Panjwai district of eastern Kandahar province, an official said on Thursday.

Police Spokesperson Mullah Asadullah Jamshid told Pajhwok Afghan News an elderly man’s body found before noon in the Khayber Mountain area of Panjwae district.

No information has been received about the identity of the person, but it appears that his body was burned and is currently at Mirwais Hospital.

Similarly, Mohammad Shah, a resident of Panjwai, said that the man was killed elsewhere and his body was then dumped at the foot of Mount Khyber, and people informed the police about it.

About twenty days ago, the body of a young man was found in the Arghandab district of this province, having been stabbed to death.
