Work permit distribution center established at Herat Airport

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): A facility where foreigners would be registered and provided with work permit has been opened in the Khawaja Abdullah Ansari Airport in Herat City, the capital of western Herat province, an official said on Thursday.

Hafiz Merza Abu Mansour, head of the Work and Social Affairs Department, said this center was established based on the guidance of the Prime Minister's Office and the proposal of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to register foreign nationals.

He also stated that this center was established to register foreign nationals, legalize the presence of foreign workers, increase national revenues, and provide accurate statistics on the presence of foreign workers.
