GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Sixteen people have been wounded in three separate traffic accidents in southeastern Paktia province, an official said on Saturday.
Police spokesman Munib Zadran told Pajhwok Afghan News the first accident took place on Friday when two cars collided on the Gardez-Khost highway.
He said eight people were injured in this collision. In the second mishap, a car collided with a van on the same highway, leaving five people injured.
Munib added three others people were injured after two cars collided in theAhmadaba district of the province.
The injured were evacuated to different hospitals for medical treatment by security forces, the official concluded.
