KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): At least five people were killed and seven others wounded as a result of a suicide bombing near the Kabul Bank branch in the capital of northern Kunduz province on Tuesday morning, an official said.
Police spokesman Juma Din Khaksar said the blast occurred in Kunduz City at 8:00am, when a suicide bomber detonated the explosives strapped to his body near the bank.
He said five people were killed and seven others wounded in the attack. The victims included mujahideen, civilians and bank security guards, he added.
No one had been arrested yet in connection with the bomb attack, the police official said, adding investigations were ongoing.
On Monday, five people were killed and injured as a result of a landmine explosion in the Abu Nasr Farahi Port of western Farah province.
