FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Two miners have been killed after a hill collapsed on them while performing gold panning in Shahr-e-Bozorg district of northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Ehsanullah Kamgar said the incident occurred after a hill collapsed in Aspkhwah village of Amu River area on Tuesday (afternoon).
He explained two people were trapped under the rubble and lost their lives.
According to Kamgar, the dead bodies have been pulled out from under the rubble and handed over to their families.
