KABUL (Pajhwok): Following a bout against his German rival at an Octagon event in April, Wahedullah Nazhand plans to say goodbye to his mixed martial arts (MMA) career.
In a video clip, Nazhand announced he would put an end to his MMA career after facing his German opponent Muhamed Grabinski at Westfalen Dortmund Hall in Germany on April 5 2025.
Nazhand said: “This will be my final fight and I hope to hang up my gloves with a win, Insha Allah.”
Nazhand said the reason for his decision was to settle into his personal life in Germany and continue his education.
Earlier, the freefighter defeated his Czech rival Max Handanjic in Oberhausen city on September 7, 2024.
In his MMA career, Nazhand has recorded nine wins and two losses in 11 fights against different rivals.
