KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Refugee and Repatriation (MoRR) says Pakistani police have raided homes of several Afghan migrants in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.
Condemning these actions, the ministry called on international organisations to continue their cooperation for the dignified return of Afghan refugees from Pakistan.
"On February 16, 2025, Pakistani police raided the homes of several Afghan migrants in Quetta and Kuchlak, Balochistan, at night. They forcibly removed some Afghan refugees from their homes and mistreated them,” MoRR said in a statement.
It said among those deported by Pakistani police were 65 children and 30 Afghan women, who were sent back to Afghanistan via the Spin Boldak border crossing in Kandahar province.
The statement added over the past two years, the Pakistani government has repeatedly carried out such actions, which contradicted all international laws, Islamic principles, and good neighborly relations. However, these actions continue to persist.
The statement continued: "The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemns such actions and calls on international organisations to continue their support and cooperation with Afghan refugees in Pakistan so that they can return to their homeland with dignity."
On February 14, another 63 Afghan migrants were released from prisons in Pakistan and returned to the country.
