Some vulnerable people in Kapesa, Baghlan get assistance

KABUL (Pajhwok): Nearly 1,200 families in central Kapisa province and 80 child laborers in northern Baghlan have received winter supplies, an official said on Monday.

Asadullah Abrar, the director of the Kapisa Provincial Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department, said that 1,195 families in Allahsae district of the province received food assistance.

He said that this aid was provided with financial support from the United Nations World Food Program and each family was provided with 50 kilograms of flour, over six kilograms of chickpeas, five liters of oil, salt and a quantity of children's food supplements.

Separately, child protection organization provided winter supplies to 80 child laborers in Baghlan.

Mohibullah Mahboobi, the field manager of this organization called Hayso, told Pajhwok that this aid was provided to support child laborers and each child was given two blankets, a pair of warm clothes, pair of shoes and jackets.
