KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 150 orphans and disabled in the capital Kabul have completed 10-month vocational and technical training provided by the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled, an official said on
The graduation ceremony of these individuals was held today at the Martyrs' Heirs and Disabled Care Center of the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled.
Mullah Rahmatullah Khalid, head of the Martyrs' Heirs and Disabled Care Center, said that 153 disabled people and orphans graduated from technical and vocational training at the center today (Wednesday).
He said that these people have undergone technical and vocational training for ten months in the fields of computer, mobile phone repairing, automobile making, motorcycle, generator, refrigerator, air conditioner, electrical appliance repair, and tailoring.
He added that these people have been provided with technical and vocational training with the financial and technical assistance of the international charity organization (HHRD).
Maulvi Kalimullah Afghan, Director of Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs, said that this is a stage of happiness because a disabled person and an orphan reached to self-sufficiency.

He said: “This is a great opportunity that has been provided to you, so you should further develop your talent, this training would help you and your family freed from poverty, you and your family have been freed from the humiliation of begging, you and your family have been called a cooperative family because you can now cooperate with others and help them.”
Qari Mohammad Khalid, a graduate of the computer training, expressed his happiness over the completion of the program and said that during this period, all the students have received good technical and vocational training.
He urged the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs and the leaders of the organization to expand the process of providing similar technical training to young people, especially the disabled and heirs of martyrs, so that needy youth can receive professional training and thus move forward in life.
