KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): At least six people, including children, have been killed and five others wounded in flash floods and a roof-collapse incident in southern Kandahar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Director of Disaster Preparedness Qari Abdul Salam Omari told Pajhwok Afghan News flash floods hit parts of Kandahar City, the provincial capital, on Tuesday.
He said three young girls lost their lives, while a fourth was injured in the incident.
Separately, a woman and a child were killed and a man and girl injured after a house roof collapsed in the 7th police district of the provincial capital, Omari said.
He added a child was also swept away by the floods and lost her life in the same police district.
