KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) has signed three agreements worth more than $2.3 million with an institution.
ANDMA wrote on its Facebook page the agreements were signed between ANMDA chief Mullah Nooruddin Torabi and Head of Cord Aid organization Syed Latif Bashardost.
At this meeting, Torabi explained: “Based on our professional and religious responsibilities, reaching out to the most vulnerable segments of society is one of our priorities. Therefore, we provide all facilities to the institutions and will complete their work as soon as possible”.
He asked the institutions to carry out their work quickly and transparently.
According to Bashardost, since 2001, this organization has been active in health, agriculture, humanitarian and development sectors.
Under the agreements, projects valued more than 2.3 million US dollars will be funded by UN-OCHA and Caritas Germany institution, benefiting 11,115 families in western Herat and northern Takhar provinces, he added.
He said 200 toilets would be constructed in Rabat Sangi, Guzra, and Pashtoon Zarghoon districts of Herat province.
