Nangarhar, Khost incidents claim 2 lives

JALALABAD/KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): The body of an individual has been recovered in eastern Nangarhar province and a child has been killed in a roof cave-in incident in southeastern Khost, officials said on Wednesday.

Nangarhar police spokesman Sayed Tayib Hamad told Pajhwok Afghan News an individual was killed by relatives of his brother’s wife on suspicion of having illicit relations with her.

Hamad said the wife of the victim’s brother was a widow and he went to her house in the Sarobi area of Nazyan district, where he was killed by her relatives.

Security personnel rushed to the area and arrested six suspects in connection with the man’s murder.

Shahab Shinwari, a resident of the area told Pajhwok the man was killed by the widow’s relatives. But he had no idea about the motive behind the murder.

Separately, an eight years old boy was killed due to a roof collapse incident in southeastern Khost province.

Mustaghfir Gurbaz, the governor’s spokesman, said the incident took place in the Ghormai Razighi village of Spera district on Tuesday.

The roof caved in due to heavy rainfall in the area, Gurbaz said.
