KABUL (Pajhwok): At least two people have been killed and several others wounded after a vehicle drove into a pedestrian area in the Mannheim city of Germany, a media report said on Tuesday.
Five people were seriously wounded and another five suffered minor injuries in the incident, the BBC reported.
Authorities arrested a lone suspect, a 40-year-old German man, who is not believed to be linked to extremism but shows "concrete indications of mental illness".
The suspect, who prosecutors said was a landscape gardener, remains in hospital in stable condition after shooting himself with a gun loaded with blanks.
Earlier, two people had been killed and 68 others wounded in a similar incident in the Magdeburg city of Germany.
