KABUL (Pajhwok): Twenty-one Afghan nationals, recently freed from prisons in Pakistan, have returned to Afghanistan, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Monday.
According to a statement from the MoRR, based on the information from the Border Police of Spin Boldak in Kandahar province, the prisoners had been arrested and imprisoned in various areas of Pakistan’s Balochistan due to lacking legal documents.
It said these 21 individuals were freed after serving sentences ranging from five to 25 months, humanitarian aid was provided to them, and they were sent back to their regions.
Two days ago, the MoRR also announced that 12 Afghans had been released from Pakistani prisons and returned to their homeland.
