FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Twenty-one tribal disputes and enmities were resolved through mediation last year in northern Ghor province, an official said on Thursday.
Maulvi Abdul Wahid Hamas, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News since the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) takeover, government institutions had been trying to resolve tribal disputes and transform hostilities into friendship.
In 2024, he recalled, 21 disputes among tribes, including Sardar, Taimani, Pahlawan and Bain, had been ended. The hostilities, which erupted under the previous government, had claimed many lives.
However some disputes remain unsettled in Ghor, where the local administration is attempting to patch up the differences in coordination with relevant circles.
Hamas urged the people involved in such disputes to make peace and actively participate in the reconstruction of their homeland
