KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) says, it will re-launch consular services in Oslo, the capital of Norway by Sunday (March 23).
In September 2024, the embassy of Afghanistan in Norway had announced its closure at the request of the host country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Today, MoFA said in a statement it would restart consular services to the Afghans residing on Norway by Sunday.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) considered the development as a positive step, the statement added.
Meanwhile, a credible source in MoFA confided Pajhwok Afghan News Najeebullah Sher Khan had been appointed as first secretary to the embassy in Norway.
