KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan exported goods worth more than one billion and 700 million US dollars and imported goods worth over 11 billion in 1403 solar year, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) said on Sunday.
In a statement, MoCI said Afghanistan made trade transactions worth $12.949 billion with a number of countries in the past one year.
Afghanistan made exports to Pakistan, India, the United Arabic Emirate (UAE), Uzbekistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Turkey, Iraq and Tajikistan countries.
According to the statement, the largest exports included figs, cotton, and raisins, but other products such as carpets, lead, and precious and semi-precious stones also accounted for the highest export figures.
It said goods were imported from Iran, UAE, Pakistan, China, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, India, and Malaysia.
The most imported items included diesel, petrol, flour, vehicle parts, liquefied gas, linen textiles, medicine, oil, and rice.
