KABUL (Pajhwok): A top Hamas political leader in the southern city of Khan Younis in Gaza has been killed in an Israeli missile strike, a media report said on Sunday.
Salah al-Bardaweel, a member of the Hamas political office, and his spouse lost their lives in the strike, the BBC quoted n official of the Palestinian group as saying.
At least 32 Palestinians had been killed over the past 24 hours in various parts of the Gaza Strip, the Hamas-run health ministry said.
Bardaweel was praying along with his wife when an Israeli missile struck their tent, said a statement from Hamas.
Since the Jewish state resumed military operations in the enclave on Tuesday, 10 Hamas officials have reportedly been killed.
The health ministry says over 49,500 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the conflict erupted in October 2023.
