Pakistan vows stronger trade ties with Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with Afghanistan, emphasizing the need for enhanced trade and regional connectivity.

Speaking at a flag-hoisting ceremony at the Pakistani Embassy in Kabul, Special Representative for Afghanistan, Sadiq Khan, highlighted the deep economic interdependence between the two nations.

He stressed that peace and stability in Afghanistan are crucial for regional prosperity.

Ambassador Khan reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to fostering bilateral trade and strengthening economic ties, recognizing Afghanistan as a key partner in regional development.

“Pakistan remains committed to a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with Afghanistan,” he stated, calling for collaborative efforts to boost economic progress.

Pakistan’s Head of Mission in Kabul, Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of honoring the sacrifices of Pakistan’s freedom fighters.

He urged Pakistanis to renew their pledge toward a stronger and more prosperous nation, highlighting the need for resilience in overcoming internal and external challenges.

The event was attended by officials, diplomats, and members of the Pakistani community in Kabul.
