Cabinet asks all agencies to prioritize locals in appointments

KABUL (Pajhwok): The cabinet of the Islamic Emirate has asked all agencies to coordinate with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the recruitment of people for large and small projects and to give priority to locals in appointments.

A statement from the Administrative Affairs Office said that the cabinet met yesterday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund and discussed and made decisions on important economic, social and cultural issues.

The meeting approved proposals from the delegation headed by Acting Director of the General Directorate for the Follow-up and Supervision of Decrees and Orders regarding the prevention of low-quality oil imports into the country, Maulvi Shamsuddin Shariati, and tasked relevant agencies with taking measures for their implementation.

However, the statement provided no further details about the proposals approved.

The statement said that all agencies were advised to coordinate with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the recruitment of people for large and small projects and efforts should be made to give priority to people within the country in recruitment.
