KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 18 people, including children, have been killed in a Russian missile attack on central Ukraine, the BBC reported on Saturday.
Dozens were wounded in the strike on Kryvyi Rih, the report said, citing Ukrainian officials. The fatalities included nine children.
A ballistic missile had struck a residential area of the city, where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky grew up.
Following the attack, a video showed a big part of a 10-storey block of flats razed and victims lying on the road.
On the other hand, the defence ministry in Moscow claimed a “high-precision missile strike” had targeted a meeting of unit commanders and Western instructors. It said up to 85 individuals were killed.

At least five buildings had been damaged in Friday’s strike, Zelensky said, adding: “There is only one reason why this continues: Russia doesn’t want a ceasefire, and we see it.”
Earlier in the say, British and French military chiefs met Zelensky in Kyiv on plans for foreign peacekeepers to be stationed in Ukraine.
