HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): One robber was killed and another arrested during a clash with security forces in western Herat province, an official said on Sunday.
Police spokesman Ghulam Nabi Nabizada told Pajhwok Afghan News two armed robbers clashed with security forces in the 7th police district last night. The clash left one robber dead and a second was detained
Nabizada said the two robbers taking advantage of darkness used to enter people’s homes in Herat city and looted their valuables. After receiving information, they were identified and stopped by security forces.
According to the police spokesman, a rifle and a motorcycle were seized from them and the arrested suspect is under investigation.
