PARON (Pajhwok): Three people, including a judge, were killed in a traffic accident in eastern Nuristan province, an official said on Friday.
Ghulam Rahman Haidari, a spokesman for the Nuristan police, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident occurred when a Toyota Fielder vehicle veered off the road along the Nuristan–Kunar highway and plunged into a river.
He confirmed that Sheikh Rahimullah, a civil court judge in Nuristan, was among the victims, along with two of his friends.
Security forces quickly arrived at the scene and were working to recover the bodies from the river.
