Panjsher football tournament ends with Oqaban team victory

PARAKH (Pajhwok): A football tournament, featuring 22 teams, concluded on Thursday in central Panjsher province, with Oqaban team emerging victorious.

Physical Training and Sports Director Obaidul Haq Zaheer told Pajhwok Afghan News the competitions were launched to encourage youth to play sports, especially football, and to support athletes at the district level.

He said 22 teams from different areas of Paryan district participated in the tournament, and in the end, the Oqaban team defeated its opponents and won the championship title and the trophy of this round of the competition.

Continuing such programs could play an effective role in developing sports among youth and ensuring positive social relationships among local residents.
