Child dies, father wounded in Faryab blaze

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A four-year-old child was burnt to death and his father was wounded when a fire broke out in a fuel shop in northern Faryab province on Wednesday.

Police spokesman Maulvi Abdullah Muradi told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place this morning in a fuel shop in Andkhoy city due to carelessness.

He said a minor child died and his father was injured in the blaze.

The fire was contained with efforts of police with  cooperation of residents, and the injured was shifted to the Jawzjan Provincial Hospital for treatment.
