KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan’s national under-17 football team is all set to take on Turkmenistan in the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Championship today (Saturday).
The Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) wrote on its Facebook page the match would take place in Tashkent, the capital of Turkmenistan at 5:00pm.
In the six-nation tournament, Afghanistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan are competing.
Last year, Afghanistan had clinched the title edging past Uzbekistan 1-0 in a hard-fought final.
