HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): The smuggling of more than 250 kilograms of drugs to Iran has been prevented in western Herat province, an official said on Monday.
Police spokesman Ghulam Nabi Nabizada said anti-narcotics department personnel foiled the bid to smuggle the drugs to Iran.
He said the drugs included over 163 kilograms of crystal, 42 kilograms of opium, and 70 kilograms of heroin.
The drugs were seized at Islam Qala port based on an intelligence report, but no one has been arrested in connection with this case.
