Heavy rain, flash floods predicted in 8 provinces

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Transportation and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) on Thursday predicted heavy flash floods, snowfall and rainfall in eight provinces.

On its X handle, MoTCA wrote that flash floods, heavy rainfall and snowfall will likely lash Nuristan, Kunar, Nangarhar, Laghman, Panjsher, Paktia, Khost and Paktika on June 27.

The amount of rainfall in different places is expected to be between 10 and 35 millimeters, MoTCA added.

The ministry also wrote that in western provinces, including Salang, there is a possibility of strong winds with a speed between 50 and 90 kilometers per hour in different places.
