KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) says it has constructed more than 2,000 simple and climate-adapted greenhouses in Afghanistan since 2024.
In a post on its Facebook page, FAO announced in collaboration with supporting organisations and local communities, it had built over 2,000 small, climate-resilient greenhouses across the country since 2024.
According to the organisation, families benefiting from these greenhouses were able to grow fresh vegetables, improve their diets and earn income by selling surplus produce.
