HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Reconstruction work has been initiated on six school buildings at a cost of nearly 16 million afghanis in western Herat province, an official announced on Tuesday.
Funded by a partner organisation, the structures were being reconstructed in Kushk Kuhna, Rabat Sangi and Injil districts of the province, said Education Director Maulvi Rahmatullah Jabar.
He said the projects would cost 15.7m afghanis.
He also reaffirmed the department’s commitment to addressing schools’ maintenance and repair needs in coordination with partner organisations, ensuring that all projects were carried out in line with the Ministry of Education’s standards.
