MAIMANA (Pajhwok): One person was killed and six others were injured as a result of a traffic accident in northern Faryab province, an official said on Sunday.
Information and Culture Director Maulvi Shamsuddin Mohammadi told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place after a corolla-type vehicle veered off the road and overturned in Qaramqol district on the Maimana-ANdkhoy highway today morning.
He said a girl lost her life and six others sustained injuries in the accident.
Head of Andkhoy Hospital Dr. Sanjar Omar confirmed to Pajhwok receiving the body of a 16-year-old girl and six injured people, including four women and two men. He said some of the injured were in critical condition.
