Afghanistan, Tarastan ink trade accords worth $183m

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan and Tatarstan signed trade agreements worth 183 million US dollars concerning oil and construction sectors, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce said on Thursday.

In a statement, MoIC wrote trade meetings were held between members of the private sector of both countries in Kabul.

It quoted Acting Minister Nooruddin Azizi as saying the purpose of holding these meetings was to pay special attention to the importance of interaction between the private sectors of Afghanistan and Tatarstan, and called on the private sector of Tatarstan to invest in the mining, agriculture, and medicinal plant sectors of Afghanistan.

The Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade, while providing information about their country’s products and production in various sectors and in the civilian and military sectors, invited the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan delegation to participate in the oil exhibition to be held in Tatarstan on August 26.

He invited the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment to visit the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce.

The business talks regarding the sectors of food, helicopter production, water management, oil and gas, electrical equipment production, detergents and sanitary products, construction materials and iron smelting resulted in the signing of business agreements worth a total of $183 million in the oil and construction sectors.
