2 killed, 10 injured in Pennsylvania steel plant blast

KABUL (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed and 10 others injured following an explosion at a steel plant in Pennsylvania, United States.

The Associated Press reported that the blast occurred on Monday at the Clairton Coke Works factory.

Officials said the cause of the explosion is not yet known and advised residents to keep their windows closed until the smoke clears.

The Clairton Coke Works is the largest coke plant in the US, employing around 1,300 workers. Coke is a solid fuel derived from coal and used in steelmaking.
