Over 10,000 acres registered as state land in Logar

KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 10,294 acres of land has been retrieved and registered by the technical committee for preventing land usurpation in central Logar province, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) said on Thursday.

In a statement, the MoJ said technical teams recovered 10,294.5 acres of state land in Logar on Sunday after investigating and verifying it, and handed it over to the relevant agencies.

The ministry added that the committee would send the land file to the Central Commission for a final decision.

Some cases related to usurped lands in different areas of Logar province were also reviewed during the meeting, and necessary decisions were made, the report said.

On August 10, the MoJ announced the return of more than 18,500 acres of usurped land in 10 provinces of the country over the past month and stated that over half a million acres of land had been stabilized in 18 provinces.
