KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has urged international aid organisations to cooperate in Afghanistan’s reconstruction.
He also said progress has been made in various sectors since the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA).
He said this at a meeting with President of ACBAR Organisation Namik Heydarov today (Monday), his office said in a statement.
The deputy premier praised the activities of ACBAR organisation in Afghanistan and urged its officials to pay special attention to expanding and effectively implementing development projects in coordination with the Islamic Emirate’s institutions.
He emphasised that since the IEA return, progress had been achieved in various fields in Afghanistan and international aid organisations should also play their part in the country’s reconstruction.
For his part, President of ACBAR Organization Namik Heydarov noted that the restoration of nationwide security has created favourable conditions for development initiatives.
He added that his organisation would strive to take advantage of this opportunity to attract international assistance for the implementation of development projects in Afghanistan and to execute them effectively in coordination with the Islamic Emirate’s institutions and relevant agencies.
