MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): The “Jam-i-Wahdat” football tournament, featuring 10 teams, concluded in central Kapisa province with the team “Mohammad Abu Hanifa Rigrawan” emerging as the champion.
Dr. Wahid, head of the Kapisa Football Federation, said the tournament was held over two months in a group-stage format among teams from across the province.
He added that four teams—Esteghlal Qala-i-Naw, Mohammad Abu Hanifa Rigrawan, Ariana, and the Directorate of Disasters—advanced to the semi-finals.
In the final match, Mohammad Abu Hanifa Rigrawan defeated Esteghlal 3-2 to claim the championship.
Dr. Wahid emphasized that the tournament aims to develop and strengthen young players’ talents and prepare them for participation in the Kapisa Premier Football League.
Kapisa province has 145 officially registered football teams, with over 550 athletes actively participating.
