GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): The Education Department of southern Ghazni province says that construction work has begun on a school building funded by local residents in Nawur district.
Maulvi Nasir Ahmad Hussaini, director of the Education Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the building is being constructed for Shaheed Ghulam Haidar School in the Warklakh area of the district.
He added that the two-storey building is being erected on two acres of land and will include 12 classrooms and four administrative rooms, along with proper electricity and clean water systems.
He noted that the construction of the school will cost eight million Afghanis, funded entirely by local residents.
