KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Baturan-i-Dud National Federation (ABDF) says that a Baturan-i-Dud competition was held in Kabul on Monday, featuring 100 athletes from eight clubs.
Acting head of the federation, Saddam Hussain Ghafori, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the participating athletes competed in two categories: form and combat.
He added the competitions were aimed to discover and promote outstanding talent in the sport of Baturan-i-Dud.
One participant, Khalilullah, emphasized the importance of such competitions for the sport’s development, noting that they were crucial for identifying young talent. He also urged officials to support Baturan-i-Dud athletes with proper equipment and other resources.
Another participant, Abdul Razaq, said these competitions foster unity and harmony among athletes and called on the National Olympic Committee to pay closer attention to Baturan-i-Dud athletes.
