GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A three-day calligraphy exhibition has opened in the capital of southern Ghazni province, showcasing dozens of artistic works.
The exhibition has been organized by the Department of Information and Culture in collaboration with the Ghazni Calligraphers’ Association and is being held in the department’s courtyard under the theme “Art.”
At the opening ceremony, Mullah Hamidullah Nisar, head of the Department of Information and Culture in Ghazni, said that the exhibition aims to draw young people’s attention to art and culture.
He added that the artworks are displayed in a variety of styles and hold significant value for the public.
According to Nisar, art carries special meaning in human life and through art, messages can be effectively conveyed to people.
Nisar emphasized that Ghazni is historically rich with poets, writers and other artists, which is why they support artists and plan to organize more exhibitions in the future.
Qari Shukrullah, head of the Ghazni Calligraphers’ Association, also spoke at the event, highlighting the importance of such exhibitions for promoting beautiful writing and the development of art.
He stated that these events are essential for motivating young people and nurturing new talent.
Shukrullah also called on the department to create better opportunities for organizing artistic exhibitions, such as calligraphy and painting.
One of the exhibition participants, Muhammad Ajmal, expressed his admiration for the artworks and viewed the exhibition as a valuable opportunity to promote art and culture.
He also urged for more encouragement and support for artists so that Ghazni can shine more brightly on the country’s cultural map.
