2 detained over illegal mining in Badghis

QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): Two individuals have been arrested on the charge of illegal mining in western Badghis province, an official said on Monday.

Police spokesman Sediqullah Sediq told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Security forces arrested two people while mining and extracting precious stones in the Shaikh Ahmad area of Qadis district”.

According to him, the arrested suspects would be referred to judicial organs, pending an investigation.
