Azadi Naween clinches Samangan U-14 football title

AIBAK (Pajhwok): Jawanan-i-Azadi Naween claimed the championship title, while Yaran-i-Atayee finished as runners-up in the Under-14 football league in northern Samangan, which concluded on Sunday.

Taj Mohammad Khudadad, head of the Samangan Football Federation, said the tournament was organized a month ago by the Federation’s Youth Committee and featured 16 participating teams.

In the final match, Jawanan-i-Azadi Naween defeated Yaran-i-Atayee with a commanding 5–0 victory to secure the championship.

Khudadad noted that the primary goals of the tournament were to promote sports among young people and to identify top players for the provincial Under-14 team.

According to him, Jawanan-i-Azadi Naween will represent Samangan in the upcoming Under-14 Northern Zone Championship, scheduled to take place in Mazar-i-Sharif.
