Man stabbed to death in Faryab

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): A man has been stabbed to death in Maimana city of northern Faryab province, an official said on Tuesday.

Provincial media office head Maulvi Abdullah Muradi told Pajhwok Afghan News a man named Ahmad Shah, a resident of Pashtunkot district, was stabbed to death by another man named Shir Ahmad, in the first district of Maimana city on Sunday.

He said the reason behind the murder was personal enmity and revenge.

About 17 years ago, the deceased Ahmad Shah had killed the father of the murderer, Sher Ahmad.

Muradi explained the killer fled the scene after committing the crime and efforts are underway to arrest him.
