NEILI (Pajhwok): The municipality of central Daikundi province on Tuesday launched a public cleaning campaign with the participation of local officials and some residents to promote the culture of urban cleanliness.
As part of the campaign, officials along with residents cleaned the streets and public places of Neili city.
Mayor Qari Agha Wali Quraishi, said the purpose of the program was to promote the culture of cleanliness and urban living.
He called on all citizens and shopkeepers to cooperate with the municipality in keeping Nili city green and clean.
Meanwhile, Mawlawi Ihsanullah Rahmatiar, deputy governor, emphasized the importance of a clean city and said cleanliness is part of faith.
He stressed that every citizen is responsible for keeping their living environment clean and added that a clean city is a source of comfort for all, pledging further efforts in this regard.
